Be pretty in pink when you wear this Islay vest

Mary has chosen an exquisite palette of colours for her tank top. She has used Jamieson and Smith’s 2ply Jumper Weight wool from Shetland, which is a classic choice for Fair Isle projects.

Level up your colourwork skills with the Eilidh tank

Warm shades of Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift yarn, combined with classic Fair Isle motifs, give this pretty tank top a vintage feel. It’s constructed traditionally, too, being knitted in one piece in the round, with the armholes and neck opening steeked and cut open.

Look smart in this colourful Finola waistcoat

Showcasing the glorious colours of Hebridean 2ply, from Alice Starmore’s Virtual Yarns brand, this classic Fair Isle waistcoat will be a delight to knit. It's worked in the round with a steek, which is then cut open.

Master traditional Fair Isle with a Chain Link vest

Mary's skilful blending of light and dark shades and large and small motifs has produced this stunning Fair Isle fabric. The classic V-neck shape allows the colourwork to take centre stage.

Get set for summer in the cute floral Ceilidh

A palette of soft pastel colours gives this waistcoat design the look of a Scottish summer meadow. The Fair Isle pattern has bands of little flower motifs, combined with an attractive three-colour striped ribbing for the hem and button bands.

Turn heads in a cropped Balmacara tank

The fabric on Mary's tank top features tiny diamonds of colour in graduating shades of blue and cream, paired with delicate Fair Isle motifs in red and pink.

Cast on a classic with the elegant Alcott vest

Mary has used a spring-like palette of pastels to create a pretty slipover, featuring deep corrugated ribbing at the waist, classic Fair Isle motifs such as the OXO pattern and bands of smaller motifs known as peeries.
