Tension
Each block has the measurements listed and should work up to this approximate size. If your blocks are coming out a lot smaller, try using a slightly larger hook. If they're coming out too large, you can try using a slightly smaller hook. A small difference in size won't cause a problem and can be rectified when joining.

Crochet blanket should measure approx 102x102cm (40x40in)
Part 1: Bobbles and Basketweave
Bobble stitch block measures 16x16cm (6.25x6.25in)
Abbreviations
bobble st (Yrh, insert hook in st indicated, yrh and pull up loop, yrh and draw through 2 loops) 3 times (inserting the hook in the same st each time), yrh and draw through all 4 loops on hook.
Notes
When changing colour mid-row, twist the ends of the two colours together. Pick up the new colour in the last yrh of the previous stitch. Carry the unused strands of yarn across the top of the stitches, enclosing the strand as you work.
Bobble Block (Make 1)
Using Goes, ch28.
Row 1 (WS) Dc in second ch from hook and each ch across, turn. [27 dc]
Row 2 (RS) Ch1 (does not count as st throughout), dc in each st across, turn. [27 dc]
Row 3 Ch1, dc in first 3 sts, *change to Dordrecht, bobble in next dc, change to Goes, dc in next 3 dc; repeat from * 5 more times, turn. [6 bobbles, 21 dc]
Rows 4-6 Ch1, dc in each st across, turn. [27 dc]
Row 7 Ch1, dc in first st, change to Dordrecht, bobble in next dc, *change to Goes, dc in next 3 sts, change to Dordrecht, Bobble in next st; repeat from * 5 times more, dc in last st, turn. [6 bobbles, 21 dc]
Rows 8-10 Ch1, dc in each st across, turn. [27 dc]
Rows 11-26 Repeat Rows 3-10 twice more.
Rows 27-33 Repeat Rows 3-9 once more.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Granny Stitch Block (Make 2)
Using Harlingen (Alphen), ch54.
Row 1 (RS) 3tr in 6th ch from hook, skip 2 ch, (3tr in next ch, skip 2 ch) 15 times, tr in last ch, turn. [16 3-tr groups, 2 tr]
Fasten off.
Join Eindhoven (Kortrijk) in sp after first tr.
Row 2 (WS) Ch3 (count as tr throughout), 2tr in same sp, 3tr in sp after each 3-tr group to end, turn. [17 3-tr groups]
Fasten off.
Join Harlingen (Alphen) to first tr.
Row 3 (RS) Ch3, 3tr in next sp betwwen groups to last 3-tr group, skip next 2 tr, tr in last tr, turn. [16 3-tr groups, 2 tr]
